Our story

In 2000, we bought our building, which had housed Marleen's interior design and home decor shop for many years. After she finished her maternity nurse training, our plans changed: the children went their own way, and the building became too big for the two of us.

Klaas personally renovated the building into a charming guest house with four rooms and a cozy living area above. We live here ourselves, so we're always close by if our guests need anything.

The name De Paddestoel is a familiar name in Urk and reflects the personal and homely atmosphere of our accommodation. With us, you'll enjoy peace, tranquility, and a private terrace in the heart of the village.
